Joe Brennan, storyteller, for Kilcullen event

Storyteller Joe Brennan will feature at the next such event in An Tearmann, planned for Tuesday 11 December, writes Brian Byrne.

A full-time storyteller, Joe Brennan previously worked as a teacher and on radio. He's from Letterkenny in Donegal, and his work has included many storytelling festivals such as Cape Clear and FATE. He has also travelled to festivals in Norway, Belgium, the US, Austria, Egypt and Romania.

He is the author of Donegal Folk Tales published by History Press Ireland, and the organiser of the Ramelton Storytelling Festival. Joe is also a children’s playwright and the creator and performer of Star Boy, a theatre performance without words for younger audiences.

The theme of the evening is 'Toasty Tales', and things kick off as usual at 7.30pm. The regular Triple Spiral Storytellers event attracts the usual €5 donation, a nominal fee for an evening of entertainment and refreshments courtesy of Jo.
