Final Kilcullen turnout 45pc
Final voter turnout in Kilcullen was 45pc at close of poll this evening, writes Brian Byrne. This compares to 67pc for the Eighth Amendment Referendum in May.
Up to 5.30pm today it was at 25pc, compared to around 50pc at teatime during the May Referendum.
At 12.30pm today it was 11pc, compared to 24pc at the same time in May.
Voters today were both electing a new President, and giving their decision on whether or not they want the reference to blasphemy taken out of the Irish Constitution.
Polling stations closed at 10pm.
