Steiner conference on secondary education tomorrow

Kildare Steiner School 30th Anniversary
A conference on 'Secondary Education for a New Generation' is being held tomorrow, Saturday 13 October, from 10am to 4pm in Newbridge Town Hall, writes Brian Byrne.

It is organised by the Kildare Steiner School's secondary school working group and is open to parents, teachers, teenagers, guidance counsellors and anyone working with young people.

The keynote speakers will be Professor Patricia Mannix-McNamara, Head of Teaching Studies at the University of Limerick; Dr Michael Wride, Academic Developer, Trinity College Dublin; Philip Franses, Schumacher College UK; Joseph Campbell, Education Researcher; and Martin Hawkes of the Burren College of Art.

There will also be present teachers, students and graduates from a number of second and third level colleges in Ireland and the UK.
