Dementia Awareness Programme for those dealing with customers

A Dementia Awareness Programme for people who deal directly with customers in areas like retail and reception is being organised by Athy Library in association with St Vincent's Hospital, writes Brian Byrne.

The aim is to help those who deal with the public to feel more confident in assisting customers who have dementia.

It will be held in the Library over two dates, November 13 and 20, with each session running 6.15pm-7.30pm. Attendance is free.
