Warning about cold-calling 'alarm monitoring' representatives

Householders in the area are being warned not to discuss the security of their homes with casual callers who may represent themselves as monitored alarm providers, writes Brian Byrne.

The warning comes in a message circulated on the Naas Garda District Text Alert system, which also warns against such discussions via unsolicited phone calls.

There have been reports recently of callers falsely claiming that they are from an alarm monitoring provider. Anyone interested in these services are advised to contact the company directly and not engage with cold callers.
