Course on Care of the Older Person

A Care of the Older Person course will commence shortly under the direction of the Kildare and Wicklow ETB Training Services, writes Brian Byrne.

Participants on the evening course will learn a variety of techniques and skills in dealing with the needs of older persons in a range of situations. These will include, inter alia, preparation for retirement; physical, social, emotional, psychological, recreational, financial, environmental and spiritual needs; and issues related to to an older person with mental illness or dementia and of living with chronic illness.

The course runs from 25 August to 2 November 2018, and will be located in Kildare town.
