Meetings on Brannoxtown NS divestment
Meetings have taken place between the Education Secretariat of Dublin Archdiocese and the Department of Education & Skillas, concerning the divestment of Brannoxtown NS, writes Brian Byrne.
According to the special manager appointed by the Archdiocese last autumn, before the school was closed in the early part of this year, 'good progress is being made'.
"Both sides are committed to a an early and sustainable resolution," Gerry O'Donoghue told the Diary, noting that the meetings are 'ongoing'.
Last week, the Save Our School Brannoxtown group expressed concern at what it perceived to be a lack of progress in arranging meetings between the Archdiocese and the Department.
