Engineering Summer Camp in August
This year's Elementary Engineering Summer Camp will be held in Kilcullen Community Centre during the week 7-10 August, writes Brian Byrne.
Organised by Scott Ziglinski and Edwina Deegan, the Camp's programme is hands-on science that gives primary school students an opportunity to experiment with engineering processes, and learn some physics while having fun.
Among the elements are building a roller-coaster and gravity go-karts, making sail carts and sail boats and learning the science by which they operate, and much more.
The target group are students going into 4th/5th/6th classes this year, and the maximum number on the course will be 18.
