Water 'defects' holding up Cnoc na Greine TIC
A number of defects in the foul and surface water networks in Cnoc na Greine are holding up the taking in charge of the estate, writes Brian Byrne.
This was revealed in a report to a question by councillors Billy Hillis and Fintan Brett to the Naas Municipal District meeting yesterday.
The meeting heard that the Council's Building and Development Control Department have been liaising with Irish Water to progress the taking in charge of the estate. Councillors were told that CCTV inspections of the networks had found the defects.
A tender package for the identified defects is now being prepared and the Council will then have to agree funding with Irish Water.
In a related question on addressing the issue of several broken street lights in the estate, the Council's response was that 'the estate is not taken in charge'.
