Eurospar team wins 'Customer First' award, again

Eurospar in Kilcullen, recently taken over by its former manager Derek Walsh, has been awarded a 'Customer First' accolade, writes Brian Byrne. It is the second year the store has won the award.

The award was presented at an event in the Mullingar Park Hotel in Co Westmeath, hosted by the Eurospar parent group BWG foods.

In addition to Derek Walsh, the Kilcullen store was represented by Simon Dan and Wayne Origan.

The BWG group and its Eurospar division were represented by their respective MDs Willie O'Byrne and Malachy Hanberry.

The Eurospar in Kill was also presented with a similar award on the occasion.

Derek has thanked his whole team in Kilcullen for their effort in helping the store to achieve the award.

His takeover of the business in January is the subject of a business profile in the current, March, issue of The Bridge. Derek has been manager there for some two years.
