Storm-postponed art classes in Brannockstown will now start next Monday.

The ten-week course by visual artist Paul Flynn due to start last Monday 16 October, was postponed until Monday of next week, due to storm Ophelia, writes Audrey Moore.

The sessions will take place from 7pm-9pm in the Baptist Church Hall in Brannockstown. The class caters for all levels in a friendly, relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The classes are ideal for beginners, improvers and seasoned artist alike. You will be guided to ensure you are working to your full potential so you can enjoy being artistically creative and to improve your understanding of technique, composition and aesthetics.

All students must bring their own material, whatever mediums they prefer — oil, watercolour, acrylic, chalk pastels and so on.

The first class is colour theory and some drawing so there's no need to bring fancy materials, a few sheets of A4 copier paper and a pencil is all that is needed on the first night.
