Public meeting on Brannoxtown NS

A public meeting is to take place in Brannockstown on Monday next, 11 September, to discuss the latest position on Brannoxtown NS, writes Brian Byrne. The meeting will begin at 8pm in the Baptist Church Hall.

Only two pupils are reported to have turned up at the start of the school year last week.

A Community Liaison Group was set up after meetings in June and July to work with the school on getting enough pupils for this school year.

New members were subsequently appointed to the School Board. But it is understood that almost all members have now resigned.
