Drama Dynamics LAMDA awards presented
Senior Students from Drama Dynamics were presented last night with their medals and certificates from their exams with LAMDA London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, writes Brian Byrne.
Alice O'Toole achieved a silver medal in the exams, and bronze medals were awarded to Cathal McMahon, Alanna Barber, Bonnie O'Halloran, Iarlaith Behan, Dara O'Sullivan, Jessica Harte, Emmet O'Sullivan, and Peter McHale
Jointly awarded the Drama Dynamics 'Sean Twohig Perpetual Trophy' for students with the highest marks in the Royal Irish Academy of Music 2017 exams were Peter McHale and Emmet O'Sullivan, who both received 91 marks in their Grade 7 Speech & Drama exams. Peter has also been awarded the 'High Achiever Award' from the RIAM and will receive this award at a ceremony in Dublin in November.
Replicas of the 'Sean Twohig Perpetual Award were also presented to the latest and previous winners of the trophy. They included Caoimhe O'Neill who won the trophy in 2014, and was also awarded a 'High Achiever Award' from the RIAM in 2015; Emmet O'Sullivan (2015), also awarded that year with a 'High Achiever Award'; Seamus Gervin (2016), also awarded a 'High Achiever Award', along with Dara O'Sullivan; and Peter McHale and Emmet O'Sullivan (2017).
Dara O'Sullivan received a high achiever award in 2014.
