Talk on apps for dyslexia
A talk on how apps for iPad and other tablets can be used to help people with dyslexia will be held in Athy Library next week, writes Brian Byrne.
Given by Amy Smith, Information Officer with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland, it will be on Tuesday 13 June, starting at 7pm.
The tablets can be used as a cheap and user friendly way to deal with the issue, and the discussion will include apps that help children, young people and adults. These apps range from fun games, speech to text, text to speech and study tools.
It is one of a series of talks and workshops organised by Kildare Library Service. Attendance is free, but should be booked by contacting the relevant library in advance.
