JB notches up another key win
Kilcullen Cycling Club’s JB Murphy won the Gorey 3-day cycling race over weekend, writes Liam Walker. He led from start to finish.
This race has been won in the past by such riders as Sean Kelly and Danial Martin to name just two. JB had the help of four team-mates, Kenny Buck, Garreth Enright, Colm Bracken and John Lynch.
JB was also second in both the Mountain classification and the Points Classification. Being first on the opening stage on Saturday, and fifth on Monday’s stage into Blessington, was enough for him to take home the Cup.
