Garden competition for Kilcullen
A Garden Competition will be part of the Kilcullen in Bloom project this year, writes Brian Byrne.
There will be four categories, Best Kept Front Garden, Best Window Box or Planter, Best Kept Estate, and Best Community Grounds … that last for charities, clubs, schools and similar.
Prizes include garden centre vouchers, garden maintenance and landscaping, and garden products. The competition is sponsored by The Garden Shop, Brennan’s Hardware, and Markus Landscape & Gardening.
Property occupiers can nominate themselves or their neighbours, by emailing info@kilcullencommunityaction.ie. The closing date for entries is 30 June and judging will begin in July.
NOTE: The launch of Kilcullen in Bloom 2017 will take place in The River Cafe on Friday next at 7.30pm. All welcome.
