Speed registers request for Brannockstown
A proposal to erect solar-powered traffic speed registers for entry roads to Brannockstown is to be assessed by Kildare County Council, writes Brian Byrne.
The request for the registers was made by Cllr Sorcha O'Neill at a meeting of the Naas Municipal District, where she noted the units at Two Mile House on the Kilcullen Naas Road as examples.
In a report on the request, the Council said there are currently no funds for the registers, which cost some €5,000 each, a total of €20,000 for the project.
The Council suggested to the councillors of the Naas MD that they can include this proposal in the list of Local Property Tax (LPT) funded projects for 2017, if they so wish.
