Shirley wins Women in Business award
Local businesswoman Shirley Kavanagh-Hallion has won the Business Woman of the Year in the Emerging New Business category of the Kildare Branch of Network Ireland’s Women in Business Awards, writes Brian Byrne.
The owner of the Secret Kloset ladies fashion store on Hillcrest will now go forward for the organisation’s National Competition, to be held in September.
Part of her prize for the Branch win will include an editorial profile in a local newspaper, mentoring courtesy of Kildare Local Enterprise Board, and support and coaching from Paula Egan — twice Network Ireland National winner.
Shirley, who has spent more than a quarter of a century in the fashion business, set up her Kilcullen store just a year ago.
