Gilltown Road for temporary closure

Gilltown Road (L2033) between Milemill Cross Roads and Gilltown Cross Roads will be closed from Monday, 6 June to Tuesday, 14 June 2016 between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, writes Brian Byrne.

According to Kildare County Council, the closure is required to facilitate the removal of tree branches overhanging the public road.

As an alternative route From Kilcullen, proceed to Milemill cross roads, turn left, follow the R413 to Brannockstown. Turn right at the T-junction onto the R412. Continue towards Dunlavin (R412). From Dunlavin, follow the R412 to Brannockstown. Turn left at the T- junction onto the R413. Continue to Milemill cross roads.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times.
