Presentations to retired CU directors

A number of presentations to former directors of Kilcullen Credit Union were made at a small friendly event on Tuesday, writes Brian Byrne.

It was a particularly special occasion for Arthur Duffy, who was originally elected to the Board in December 1979, proposed from the floor by Terri Lawlor and seconded by Sean O'Reilly.

Other former directors to whom presentations were made included Roisin Talbot, Anne McNally, Vivienne Byrne and Philomena Griffin.

The presentations were made by the current chairman, Martin Burke, who expressed the appreciation of all members for the many hours of volunteer service given by the recipients. He also thanked their respective spouses for being so patient while they were away on the business of the Credit Union.
