I know that you have spelled out the proper rules along with a note as to custom in other places; but given that significant numbers of drivers are ignoring the signs thus far, can I suggest that there should be only one determinant of priority where adjacent routes are concerned, viz the one of yielding to traffic on the right — with the existing rules for vehicles approaching from opposite sides and making 90- or 270-degree turns.
