Wet mini marathon, but home safe

Home and dry ... well, not like they had been when they crossed the finish line today, writes Brian Byrne.

But the ladies of the Friends of Toddlers and Wobblers were in much better form by the time they got back to The Spout this evening, with sponsor Tom Dignam.

The hardships were, almost, forgotten. "It was the worst one we've ever done, though. Branches were falling down on people." And, "it was like a wet t-shirt competition at the end," Imelda Pembroke tweeted.

But home safe is home safe, and St Brigid's Hospice will benefit.
