New tubs placed for street flowers

Those new street flower tubs that you see in the last couple of days were made voluntarily for KCA by (from top left) Levi Keogh Doyle, Gearoid Doyle and Ger Doyle, writes Brian Byrne.

And on Saturday morning, KCA members Esther Kiely, Celia Travers, Niall McDonnell and Noel Clare were out along with the FAS team to place and plant them.

Meanwhile, as it gets closer to the rest of the annual Summer Flowers Project work, putting up the window boxes, KCA would like to finalise arrangements with those on Main Street who want to have the boxes, and anyone who would like to donate towards the cost.

KCA would also be glad of any volunteers assistance in putting them up.
