Summer flowers on the way

Window boxes for the Summer Flowers project have been ordered and will be delivered soon to Main Street premises who order them and can make a contribution of €25 or more towards the annual €5,000 cost.

The contribution includes supply, installing, and watering through the summer. A Street Collection will also be held to raise funds for the project.

Meanwhile, a Tidy Towns cleanup evening planned for Tuesday 12 May will concentrate on a further improvement to the bridge area.

The event begins at 7.30pm and volunteers can help to clean the railings and paint the top board.

A recent evening saw a small number of people help to remove moss, weeds and loose dirt from the area.
