Scouts and saxophones TONIGHT
A special variety concert planned for Kilcullen's Town Hall Theatre tonight, Thursday May 7, will raise funds for the six families whose homes were destroyed in the recent Millfield estate fire in Newbridge, writes Brian Byrne.
The show has been organised by the Kilcullen 9th Scout Troop, and will include performances from almost all members of the troop, including the Leaders.
The headline act is the saxophone quintet 'No Strings Attached', a dynamic ensemble formed in 2013. The quintet features the Ballymore Eustace Concert Band's saxophone section — James O'Neill and Orlagh Deegan on Alto Sax, John Houlihan and Eamonn Deegan on tenor sax, and the group is anchored by Robert O’Brien on baritone saxophone.
Contact Orlagh on 0876441174 for bookings. Or on the door, entry €10 for adults, €5 for children.
