Dogs problem at soccer games

Dogs brought by supporters to soccer games in Kilcullen have been causing a certain amount of angst on the sidelines, writes Brian Byrne.

Kilcullen AFC say that several visiting teams have found this to be 'very intimidating' and in some cases 'potentially dangerous'. "Not all people are comfortable around these dogs, and with footballs flying around the dogs are wound up," a spokesman for the club says.

The club is asking that anyone who wants to bring their dogs along to a game should stay back a good 15-20 feet from the playing area.
