Motorway closure Thursday night

The latest stage in building the Service Area bridge over the M9 at Halverstown will require the motorway to be closed completely between Junction 3 (Athy) and Junction 2 (Kilcullen) from Thursday, 18 December 2014 at 8pm to Friday, 19 December 2014 at 6am

Diversions will be in place and northbound traffic will be required to exit at Junction 3 (Athy) and continue along the N78 towards Athy, then along the R418 towards Kilcullen, rejoining the M9 Motorway at Junction 2 (Kilcullen). Southbound traffic will be required to exit at Junction 2 (Kilcullen) and follow the R448 (old N9) to the N78 Athy Road, rejoining the M9 Motorway at Junction 3 (Athy).

Diversionary routes, which will be clearly signposted, (as agreed with An Garda Síochána) will be in place for the duration of the works. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
