Bethlehem Peace Light for Kilcullen
On the 18th of December I will be travelling to Dublin to receive the peace light from Bethlehem, writes Richard T Reade of Kilcullen Scouts.
Two Scouts, an Isreali and Palestinian, lit a candle and the light from the candle has travelled all over the world. It will be arriving in Ireland and at an ecumenical service in Dublin hundreds of people will receive the light to bring it back to cities, villages and towns all over Ireland.
I hope to get back to the Scout Den somewhere between 9.30pm and 10pm where you are invited to come and light your own candle from the candle light that I will bring back from Dublin.
This is an open invitation to the people of Kilcullen and anywhere else who would like to come and take the light back to their own homes for Christmas. All are very welcome.
