Flowers going up

The first elements of the summer flowers project have been put in place for 2014, and the town can look forward to blazes of flower power colour as the next months progress, writes Brian Byrne.

Monday night's meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard that the bridge flowers were installed on Saturday, but that KCA is still waiting for Kildare County Council to re-install one of the poles which had been pulled out some months ago.

Celia Travers said she had been in to the Council on the issue, but so far there had been no progress.

There was some discussion on whether KCA members could reinstall the pole, but it was decided that it was the Council's responsibility and it wouldn't be a good idea to do any such thing.
