Alzheimer Tea Morning in Parish Centre today

There has been wonderful support in terms of donations of spot prizes and raffle prizes for the Alzheimer Tea Morning which will be the big event this morning in the Parish Centre, writes Brian Byrne.

So much so that everyone who attends is in with a big chance of taking something nice home, as well as taking the opportunity to catch up with friends and local news. Plus, I understand that there's more cakes and other goodies promised than is good for any of us, so it's worth indulging in a good cause.

As a population which is living much longer on average than previous generations, Alzheimers and other forms of dementia are going to be a larger problem for all of us and our families, and one which is in all our interests to help deal with. So, see you later in the Parish Centre, from 10am.
