Cycle total still climbing

The interim total raised in last weekend's Crumlin Cycle has reached €6,800 and is still climbing, writes Brian Byrne.

The organisers are confident that by the time all sponsorship cards are back in, the event will have achieved €10,000 for the new Cardiac Unit in Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin.

The new unit is scheduled to open shortly. Pictured is Noel O'Connell and son Ollie, whose need for serious cardiac surgery from the day after he was born triggered Noel and Katrina's own efforts to raise money for the unit.
