Big day for St Joseph's NS

We are planning big morning at St Joseph's NS this Thursday 10th October, writes Principal Marion Sherlock.

We begin the morning by gathering at the Round Tower in Old Kilcullen at 9am for a talk followed by walk to school at 9.30am. We plan to raise our first Green School flag and our Active School Flag (both awarded last June) when we arrive back at school at approvimately 10am. After some speeches, songs and music (weather permitting), we will all be invited to a full charity breakfast courtesy of our senior classes under the guidance of some parent volunteers.

This annual school event is organised completely by senior pupils as an initiative where children in our school raise money for a children's organisation, 'Children Helping Children'. This year our chosen charity (selected by the senior pupils) is Autism Assistance Dogs of Ireland.
