Kilcullen young people in Silicon Valley

Courtesy of Cross & Passion assistant principal Noel Clare, here's the first photo of the CPC Intel Ideation Team who went out to California this weekend to Silicon Valley as the national winners of the Intel Ideation 2013 Competition.

They're shown here at the Intel Global Challenge hosted by the University of California at Berkley's Entrepreneurship Faculty. The Kilcullen team won a 5-day visit to the very centre of world technology innovation with their concept for a smartphone app and cover which helps manage diabetes in young people.

Pictured are Robyn Kenny, Aaron McLoughlin Sutherland, Wayne Donoghue, Bevan Murray, Godwyn Jalanga, and Caoimhe O'Fearghaill. The group attended workshops in Palo Alto from 8am this morning (Sunday) and are spending the remainder of the day in Stanford University while enjoying clear California skies and temperatures of 30degC.
