Chrissie does it again in World Championships
The first is that Chrissie Byrne has won the World Womens Strokeplay Pitch & Putt Championships for the second time.
In a wonderful battle for the ladies championship, she held off Dutch player Esther De Schiffart (-11 to -10).
The event was held over the last few days in northern Spain. Chrissie was sponsored for the Championships by The Spout Bar. Mine host Tom Dignam is pictured above on the right, celebrating Chrissie's win with her brother Podge and friends.
The other event worth marking is that Ray Kelly completed the 30th Annual Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle. "It's another one off the list," he says, adding that the Leinster Loop 'looks very enticing' now. "There are no Category 3 climbs."
