Summer Camp season is all go

Lots going on for the youngstersThe Summer Camp season is in full swing, writes Brian Byrne.

The Steiner School Summer Camp is under way near Gormanstown, while over the next weeks there are a myriad of entertainments and workshops available for all children ages.

Tomorrow it's the Drama Dynamics Summer Stage 2013 running from Monday through to Friday July 12, with sessions 10am-2pm daily. For children 5-15, it's all about 'Grease', and there will be a performance of the show at the end of the week in the Town Hall Theatre.

On the week beginning Monday 15 July there are two options, an Art Camp in the Community Centre and the Summer Dramantics childrens drama workshop in Scoil Bhride. The first of these is running for two weeks, catering for 5-12 year-olds and all art materials supplied. Activities include painting, drawing, clay modelling, collage and more. Summer Dramantics happens between July 15-19 and August 12-17, for groups aged between 4-7 and 8-12. Billy Redmond's Bazaar gets under way on Monday July 15.
