Walk on the wild side this weekend
A view this week from the boardwalk on the Bridge Camphill Nature Trail showing a now scarce representation of how much of the pre-history river banks would have been along the Liffey and other rivers, writes Brian Byrne. In itself it is a teeming biosystem, home to a wide range of water life, insects, birds and small animals.
The whole trail is blooming and lush at the moment and well worth a ramble through this weekend, or any time. If you want to get a good backgrounder on some of what you'll see, you can read the Diary's account from last summer's Nature Walk with Dr Mary Tubridy.
