Credit Union to pay dividend
It was 'another challenging year' for Kilcullen Credit Union, chairperson Philomena Griffin told the AGM of the organisation last night, writes Brian Byrne. But she emphasised that the organisation was in a sound financial position, and is able to pay a dividend to members of 0.75 percent on this year's accounts.
There was a large attendance at the meeting in the Parish Centre, who heard that €1.3m of loans were granted during the year.
Kilcullen Credit Union now has 2,663 members, of which 680 are Juveniles and 20 are Clubs & Organisations.
The officers for the coming year are Philomena Griffin (chairperson), Martin Burke (vice-chair), Olivia Byrne (treasurer), and Elaine Whyte (secretary).
There will be a full report later.
