Woman taken ill while walking

A woman was taken to hospital in Naas this morning after becoming ill while walking near the Jockey Stile at the end of the Valley Park.

The alarm was raised by friends and she was initially assisted by local first aid, pending the arrival of an ambulance.

The Ambulance Service responded very promptly and the woman had regained consciousness when they took her to Naas.
