'Use the Calendar' call

A call for all local organisations to take advantage of the Calendar on the KCA website was made at the recent meeting of Kilcullen 2017, the implementation group for the KCA-commissioned Development Plan, writes Brian Byrne.

"The calendar is there to facilitate all in the community," Orla O'Neill said. "If every group sent in dates of their upcoming events, it would help to avoid or minimise overlapping or clashes."

Those wishing to have events included in the Calendar should email details to kilcullencommunityaction@gmail.com.

Meanwhile, Kilcullen businesses which have public internet access by wifi should be encouraged to advertise the fact, the meeting was also told.

In a discussion on the use of social media technology to promote Kilcullen's interests, it was also suggested that businesses where people gathered should make sure they had wifi available.
