Students, teachers, escape in crash

A group of Transition Year students and their teachers had a narrow escape yesterday when the bus in which they were travelling was in collision with a car on the slip road which leads on to the M9 at Ray O'Brien's garage.  

The students were on their way from an All Ireland poetry competition which took place in Galway earlier in the day. 

One of the transition year students, John Behan, had qualified for the poetry final following a competition earlier in the year in the school.
