Writer's story broadcast

An excerpt from a short story by local writer John Martin, which has been short listed for the Author Rights Competition, will be broadcast on 'Arena' on RTE Radio 1 between 7.30 and 8.30 on Tuesday 13 September.

John is well known for his involvement in Kilcullen Drama Group, for which he has directed many plays.

He also won the Short Story prize at the 26th Dunlavin Festival of the Arts in 2008, and has had a play, 'Over the Top', performed in the Riverbank Theatre in Newbridge.
