Playground opens!
Well, the playground is open, and everybody's really happy, writes Brian Byrne.

Among others who have expressed their appreciation to date are Noel Clare, Clare Boyce, Teresa McGlynn, Iseult O'Donoghue, Kieran Behan, Siobhan Birrel and Siobhan Purves. Kerstin Bartels-Shortt recalls that when the project to get the facility began six years ago, she was expecting her daughter Siofra, who can now finally get some playtime in it.
An official handover of the keys will take place at 4pm this afternoon.
Orla O'Neill, who chaired the project committee through many of the hurdles it found in its way, says a roster will be established for maintaining and monitoring the facility.
