Playground opens tomorrow morning
It's the end of the campaign finally, writes Brian Byrne. The KIkcullen Community Playground will be open for business from 9am tomorrow, Friday. And the weather forecast is looking good.
Also tomorrow at 4pm, Simon Wallace of Kildare County Council will officially hand over the keys of the new Playground to members of the Playground Committee.
This represents the culmination of a campaign that lasted several years and the spending of some €250,000, a fifth of which was raised by the Committee in local collections and Leader Partnership contribution.
An official opening will take place later, but in the meantime all are welcome to come along tomorrow for the handover. And, of course, to have their kids use the facility from first thing in the morning.
