Kilcullen-born Brother ordained a Priest
Brother Columba Jordan, son of Robert and Meadhbh Jordan who used to live in Kilcullen, was ordained a priest last week, writes Brian Byrne.
A member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal since 2001, he will be coming to work in Ireland. He will be stationed at the order's house in Derry.
He was ordained by Archbishop Timothy Dalton of New York at a ceremony in St Patrick's Cathedral. Father Jordan's celebratory Mass in Ireland is planned for Saturday, July 23 at St Joseph’s Church in Dublin at 4pm.
