Community Games starts with talent

The Kilcullen Community Games effort for 2011 has now got under way, with the recent Talent Competition showcasing the singing and dancing abilities of the town's young people.

In the Solo Singing section, April Lawlor took first place, from Molly Aspell and Leah Dargin.

Abigail O'Byrne, Ava Hodgins, Eve McMahon, Sarah Carroll and Aishling Brown won the Group Singing section.

The Recitation section was won by Rhiannon Kelly, and Jenna Pembroke tookm the Modern Dance title.

Organiser Anne Quigley says congratulations for their performances are also due to Abby Creedon, Niamh Harris, Danielle Mangan and Tom Dunne.
