WEATHER

A cloudy and rather humid start this morning with some light patchy mist and drizzle at times. Becoming drier later generally with sunny spells developing. Warm too with highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees with light winds.

It's estimated that some 15,000 tonnes of space debris enters the Earth's atmosphere every day, as part of around 25 million meteoroids, micrometeoroids, and defunct human-made objects. Up to 95 percent are believed to burn up as meteors before reaching the surface, those which do impact being known as meteorites.
