Restaurants add eatery options
Some quiet changes have been made to two local restaurants, improving both variety and price accessibility and extending further the options for eating out locally.
The Riverside Restaurant, formerly Paul's, is now being operated directly by the Dunlea family and offers some of the best dining in what is arguably the county's most pleasant location on the banks of the Liffey.
The Riverside is open from 5-10pm Monday through Friday, and from 10am-10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The weekend Brunch menu offers an attractive range of breakfasts, soups, hot lunch dishes and salads ranging in price from €9-€19. The Dinner menu offers an Early Bird two-courses and glass of wine for €25 and main courses ranging from €16-€33.
The adjacent Italian Kitchen (above) has been decorated with old photographs of people and events from Kilcullen and its surrounds, and the menu now offers an extensive range of pizzas, pastas, salads and traditional Italian dishes. Pricing is simple -- all starters are €5, Salad, Pasta and Mains dishes €10, and Pizzas from €8. There's also a Kids menu of Main, Dessert and drink for €10.
Extensive wine lists in both venues.
