NETNS pupils art exhibition

Budding Picassos, Dalis and Monets from Newbridge Educate Together National School will have their artwork on show at the Kildare Outlet Village this weekend (April 24 - 26).

Irish Times political cartoonist Martyn Turner will be joined by school staff and families at the official opening reception to unveil the masterpieces entitled 'Beginning to Bloom'.

Each child in the school has produced a painting on professional canvas which has been framed and hung at the Kildare Outlet Village.

The event, including the sale of the children's paintings and artwork donated by local artists, will help raise money for the school's new home on the former Sundai School site, Green Road, Newbridge. The school is due to move in September 2009. The paintings can be viewed by the public all weekend.

A number of students from Kilcullen attend the school.
