Last chance for Flora marathon entry

Today is the last day for entries to the 2009 Flora Womens Mini Marathon, which has become an annual event for local fundraising ladies on behalf of the Punchestown Kidney Research Fund.

Organiser Phena Bermingham says they now have 73 participants registered, more than any previous year. But she says that if anyone else registered for the event now finds they can't go, perhaps they could give their registration to the PKRF ladies.

"In that case we can use the registration, and we will refund them their entry fee," Phena says. "It means that any ladies who want to participate on our behalf, but who are too late, can be given such pre-registrations."
