Sybil Connolly connection

An exhibition in the RDS this weekend has a Kilcullen connection.

It's a display of the Sybil Connolly collection on loan from the Hunt Museum in Limerick, and it includes a wedding dress worn by the late Carmel Byrne when she married Tom Byrne in June 1945.

The dress is full length with a high neck. The sleeves are full length and cuffed. There is a train attached to the dress.

Sybil Connolly was a guest at the wedding and the Byrne family donated the dress to the Hunt Museum after Carmel died.
